The Haliburton Junction Skate Park committee was established in September 2015. The current park, just off Maple Avenue near the library is well used but is very small and has drainage issues. The Municipality of Dysart et al is redeveloping the parking lot area beside the A.J. LaRue arena this summer, and council and the committee decided it was the ideal space for a new signature park.

Rob Poyner, a professional skate park designer and builder has been working with the committee to create an awesome design for a new park. It will be approximately 6000 sq. ft. and have features for everyone from a beginner to a pro. It will be ideal for skateboards and scooters. There is also room for a phase 2 if we are able to raise more money in the future.
