Membership
The Lake Kashagawigamog Organization (LKO) is a volunteer-based organization with a mission to SAVE and PROTECT Lake Kashagawigamog and Grass Lake by advocating for property lake residents/cottagers on issues affecting lake roads and waterways, resources, land use and development, septic inspections, best practices and much more!
Your LKO membership fees support the Association’s priority initiatives which include a focus on Water Quality, Safety/Shoreline Protection, Education and Advocacy and Social/Recreational events. Here are some further details including specific benefits for LKO members:

- Voting at AGM – usually on the 3rd weekend of June each year
- Management of the Lake Plan (see https://www.lko.ca/about-the-lko/lake-plan/)
- Invasive species research
- Planning and Development: Monitoring Official Plan/Bylaw changes and proposed development in the area and actively respond to and participating in the planning process at the County and Municipal levels
- Purchasing, installing and maintaining water navigation and hazard markers (e.g., marker buoys to mark rocks and shorelines) for boating safety
- Education: “Love Your Lake Seminars”; Education tools/pamphlets
- Communications: Regular e-Blasts (Members Only), LKO Website (see www.LKO.ca) and Social Media with news and updates:

- Tips for best practices, as a stakeholder of the lake
